Description
Albumen carte-de-visite photograph (1860s) of the Princess of Savoy, spouse to Napoleon-Jêrome Bonaparte. Maria Clotilde is depicted in full-figure sat on a chair, with her right hand under her chin. For the studio of the Mathew Brady (1822-1896) in New York, one of the earliest photographer in the American history. In 1860, Brady opened a studio called National Portrait Gallery, where he hold photographs exhibitions. Marked on the back “Brady’s National Portrait Gallery”.
