Description
Albumen carte-de-visite photograph (1860s) of the 5th Earl Stanhope. Stanhope is depicted in fullfigure standing with one leg crossed, leaning with his right arm on a half-column. Photographed in the studio of Henry Maull (1829-1914) and George Henry Polyblank (1828 -), active in London between 1856 and 1865. Marked on the back “Maull & Polyblank Photographers”.
