Albumen carte-de-visite photograph (1860s) of the great English railway and civil engineer. Stephenson is depicted in half figure standing with his right fist on his hip. Photographed in the studio of Henry Maull (1829-1914) and George Henry Polyblank (1828 -), active in London between 1856 and 1865. Marked on the back “Maull & Polyblank Photographers”.
