About The Book: In this book, the author provides an account of their journey to Lassa and Tibet. The author describes his departure from Darjiling, noting the bright moonlight accompanied by dark clouds hinting at a possible rain. He anxiously gaze at the mountain-tops in eastern Nepal, hoping to spot any signs of snowfall. As he leave their home in Darjiling, a mix of fear of death in the snows and the hope of conquering nature's challenges fills their mind, knowing that they may never return to their native land. The author diligently immerses themselves in studying the Tibetan language and establishes friendly relations with the Raja of Sikkim and prominent lamas in that region. Subsequently, they embark on several short trips to the country in the following years.
